Thought Provoking Question of the Day

Why do people get so worked up about things like others' opinions that aren't very important? (For example: cars, sports teams, etc.)

i dont really know why people get so worked up maybe they have no life and they have nothing better to do except to complain about stupid things!

Maybe because they want to voice their own opinion on the subject. Maybe, a person wants others to think the way they do, so they try and convince others. Yadidimean? ;D

I think it's human nature to want to be liked, and when people say stuff like they dont care what people say it's not true. If someone didnt care they wounldnt take showers, or brush their hair, or get dressed. I think it's human nature!

Simple human nature. Pride and insecurity being the two big contributers. Everyone wants to think that they're the arbiter of opinion, and when they see someone with a different, perhaps superior thought, insecurity can set in. Therefore trggering a tantrum or getting them "Worked up".

That's a very good question that I have no answer for. However I don't think like that because I don't really care what people do or ware as long as they aren't jerks.
